Dr. Antonio G.M. La Viña
Dr. La Viña is an educator for more than 30 years and is a lead negotiator for the Philippines in the climate change. He has also held Chairmanship in national and international organizations; and has publications covering law and governance, environment, human rights, social accountability and social entrepreneurship.
Hon. Roy Cimatu
Secretary, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)
Hon. Roy Cimatu is the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. He is a retired Philippine Army general who served as the 30th Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and as Special Envoy to the Middle East. He has a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Ateneo De Manila University.
Dr. Donna Paz Reyes
Dr. Donna Reyes is the Chair of the Graduate Program of the Department of Environment and the Executive Director of the Environmental Studies Institute of Miriam College. A PhD graduate from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia, Dr. Reyes is an authority in environmental education, including biodiversity conservation education, environmental principles, ecology and community-based eco-historical tourism.
Mr. Jaime Ayala
Mr. Jim Ayala is the Founder of Hybrid Social Solutions, Inc. (HSSi), an organization that brings access to reliable and safe energy through solar power. He has worked on economic development issues in the past 28 years as a social entrepreneur, CEO, management consultant and a Board member of some NGOs. He was awarded the 2013 Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year and 2012 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Philippines. He earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School and his Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
Hon. Carlos Dominguez
Hon. Carlos Dominguez is the Secretary of the Department of Finance (DOF). Prior to this, he served as Executive Director of PTFC Redevelopment Corporation and Independent Director of Alsons Consolidated Resources. He also served as Secretary of Agriculture and Minister of Natural Resources during the Corazon Aquino administration. He earned his MBA from Ateneo de Manila University.
Ms. Nicole Fox
Ms. Nicole Fox is the Economic Officer of the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines. Her previous Foreign Service assignments include serving as the Policy Advisor for African Affairs in the Secretary of State’s Office of Global Women’s Issues, Public Diplomacy Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Zimbabwe, and Economic and Consular Officer at the U.S. Consulate in Vietnam. She obtained her Master’s in Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University.
Mr. Jeremy Gustafson
Mr. Jeremy Gustafson is the Director of the Office of Environment, Energy and Climate Change of the US Agency for International Development in the Philippines. He has been with the USAID for nearly 10 years and was previously posted in Egypt, South Sudan, and India, where he was the Head of the Climate Change/Environment Office.
Dr. Elisea Gozun
Dr. Elisea Gozun is a former Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and a former Presidential Assistant on Climate Change. She is also a consultant to World Bank projects, such as the Wealth Accounting and Valuation of Ecosystem Services (WAVES) project.
Mr. Federico R. Lopez
Mr. Federico Lopez is the Chairman and CEO of First Philippine Holdings Corporation, First Gen Corporation and Energy Development Corporation. An advocate of the environment, Mr. Lopez is also the Chairman of the Oscar M. Lopez Center for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management Foundation (OML Center) and Sikat Solar Challenge Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the World Wildlife Fund Philippines and Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation. Mr. Lopez graduated in 1983 from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts Degree major in Economics and International Relations, cum laude.
